We consider a scientific approach to finding the optimal transition from the stage of informatization of economic management, the pinnacle of which in terms of the integration of information resources and algorithms for their processing were reference models, to the stage of its digital transformation, which requires a transition to new technologies for working with information, reflecting two main principles: The principle of this transition, relating to all social development, is the formation of a rational structure for managing data and algorithms with the widespread integration of their disparate elements into a single system based on developed digital standards. It is shown that an effective tool for such a transition for the real economy can be a unified digital production management platform, obtained on the basis of mathematical and ontological modeling and representing the unity of digital subplatforms reflecting the required digital standards: the structure of the cloud subplatform for collecting, storing and integrating operational primary accounting information all enterprises in a single database; structure of the cloud subplatform for technological accounting; the structure of the cloud subplatform of data processing algorithms of the first two subplatforms for the purpose of production management. One of the huge problems of the practical transition to it is the need to carry out targeted large-scale work on ontological modeling of all economic activity in the country due to large inter-industry differences in understanding the process of digital transformation. Reference models of a number of industries are presented to demonstrate the applicability of a unified digital management platform for them. The enormous advantages of such a platform are shown.
