The role of remote sensing of the Earth in improving the efficiency of management in the information society

Abstract

The article discusses the directions of using Earth remote sensing technologies from space to improve management in information society. The features and trends of the development of the global remote sensing market, as well as the factors contributing to its rapid growth at the present time, are disclosed. The barriers hindering the development of the remote sensing market in Russia have been identified. Measures have been identified, the implementation of which can significantly accelerate the process of introducing technologies and services obtained using satellite images into the practice of the Russian management system.
