Abstract

The article examines the role of digital technologies in the formation of an information society based on the materials of Sevastopol. The current mechanisms of digital technologies are studied in the context of the formed regulatory framework and analysis of the digital infrastructure. In order to assess the effectiveness of the use of information technologies by the population when interacting with state authorities and local governments, the results of a selective federal statistical survey were used. The data show that online services for receiving government services are used by the population, but the potential for their use has not been exhausted. The high potential for the introduction of modern digital technologies creates favorable conditions for the development of an information society in the region.
