Abstract

The analysis of the cognitive potential of computer science is carried out, which can and should be used to form a promising system of scientific knowledge of the fundamental laws of the development of nature, man and society. It is shown that the scientific basis for this can be the results of research by Russian scientists in the field of studying the philosophy of information and the patterns of information processes in various spheres of reality. These studies have shown that the methodology of computer science is becoming the most important research tool in many areas of fundamental science and allows you to obtain more holistic and adequate knowledge in them. Examples of the formation of a number of new synthetic scientific disciplines that have been formed in recent years in Russia at the junctions of the subject area of computer science with other sciences about living and inanimate nature are given. The conceptual foundations of some of them were developed at the Institute of Computer Science Problems of the Russian Academy of Sciences. It is shown that their further development and practical use is necessary not only for the development of science, but also for ensuring national and global security.
