Abstract

The article evaluates the digital participation of young people of Sverdlovsk region in cooperation with authorities. Based on the analysis of regulatory acts, focus groups (21 respondents) and content-analysis of media/ digital platforms low level of involvement was identified (integral index 2.62 points, 65.5%). Young people are skeptical about digital channels as an imitation of dialogue, and the authorities underestimate the potential of youth as a subject of governance. The phenomenon of "double alienation" is emerging, requiring a review of the region’s youth policy
