Digital ruble: new opportunities and challenges for society

The article explores one of the topical issues in the development of the country's financial system - the introduction of the digital ruble, which will become the third form of the Russian national currency, created and controlled by the Bank of Russia. The key aspects of this process involve analyzing the opportunities and threats associated with the use of this technology for society. The authors justify its necessity by examining global practices in the implementation of digital national currencies, as well as the economic, technological, and social levels of development in various countries. The authors conclude that it is essential to establish a trust infrastructure for the Digital Ruble system and to create the conditions for the transition from testing the technology to its widespread adoption.
