Information Security of Childhood in the Context of a New Media Culture

The article highlights the issues of information security of children in the context of the accelerated development of media technologies and media communications. It is noted that there is a need for understanding and assessing the ongoing transformations of social interaction and potential threats to the health and development of children in connection with the widespread penetration of media and the absorption of face-to-face communication by the newest forms of communication. The author analyzes the risks identified by researchers of mediatization towards children and adolescents, aggravated by their emerging personality. An assessment of the risks of a new media quality from the point of view of the danger of a gradual intellectual extinction of humanity is proposed.
