Factors shaping regional disparities in the digitalization of retail trade in Russia

The article identifies factors affecting regional disparities in the digitalization in Russia’s retail. Key determinants include population income, poverty levels, internet access availability, online retail share. The authors propose recommendations to address these disparities and reduce socio-economic differentiation. Priority regions for improving internet access and developing e-commerce are highlighted. The research employs machine learning models, which uncovered complex dependencies that are not revealed through classical statistical methods.
