Information Component of the Modern World Politics

Abstract

In this article the author analyzes impact of the information technology to the modern world politics. The author has focused on three impacting aspects: cyber security, global competition in regulation of the information sphere, open and closed information spaces. It is demonstrated that Russia, like China, stands for the state regulation of the information space, for collective Internet governance with breakdown into sectors of state influence and for strengthening the international legal framework of the information field.
