Model of Urban Transport System as a Tool to Forecast Parameters of Route Transport Traffic

The article is devoted to development of methods of sampling time and the formation of patterns of urban/street road and route traffic network. A digital map and graph theory methods are used to describe the route traffic network. The suggested model of the transport system allows projecting vehicles’ coordinates on the route network and distributing registered values of route transport in time and space.
Projected real-time coordinates and statistical values are distributed in space and time and allow forecasting future values of traffic parameters in view of the actual traffic situation. The developed forecast and the route network presented as digraph are used when building the shortest routes, developing timetables and traffic schedules for public transport, recognizing street and road network facilities by their text descriptions.
