Potential of information environment in regions of Far Eastern federal district

Abstract

The paper presents the results of the analysis and assessment of the main indicators of the use of infocommunication technologies (ICT) and networks in the subjects of the Far Eastern Federal District (FEFD) based on statistical data. The assessment was carried out on the basis of an index consisting of three blocks of indicators (availability of digital technologies, use of the Internet, digital competencies) that characterize the potential for using digital ICT by the population and organizations of the regions. The results of the rating assessment showed a significant gap in the level of use of digital technologies among the subjects of the FEFD, due to the unevenness of their socio-economic development.
