Value orientations of Russian IT specialists: a pilot study

Abstract

The article presents the results of a pilot study of the value characteristics of the Russian community of IT specialists on the example of programming students. The results of the study suggest that the members of the studied community have a significant potential to be agents of socio-cultural modernization. Limitations of using the potential of members of the studied community as tools of socio-cultural modernization are considered, and options for working with these limitations are proposed.
