National and globalist elites in the context of information globalization

Abstract

The article considers the process of single planetary information space formation through the introduction and mass dissemination of modern information and communications technologies. The author examines the relationship between postmodern culture and the concept of building a single socio-cultural space, a global society. The contradictions of globalization and the preservation of national sovereignty are noted. The role of state institution and corporations in the global society is assessed. The reactionary tendencies to the globalist elites’ dismantle the Westphalian system of international relations actions are revealed. This reaction is represented by the struggle of national elites for the preservation of sovereignty.
