Instagram political functions at the regional level

Abstract

The paper is devoted to the analysis of the political role of the Internet platform Instagram. Based on a text analysis of the messages of the governor of the Nizhny Novgorod region on the official Internet page on Instagram, the author analyzes the main political functions performed by the regional leader using this Internet platform. The main communicative and semantic constructions are presented, the use of which allows one to realize certain political functions in the political and communicative field of the studied social media.
