Partner fubbing in youth environment

Abstract

The youth environment is most prone to the manifestation of phubbing between partners, because the inclusion of smartphones in many areas of life has become a new reality, where every young person strives to correspond to this reality. The article presents the results of a pilot study on the manifestation of partner phubbing and the characteristics of relationships in a couple. The study involved girls and boys (students) who are in a romantic relationship. The results obtained indicate the identification of the value of the time spent and joint conversations for each partner, the manifestation of phubbing is noted by both girls and young people with their partners. In the female sample, an inverse statistically significant relationship was found between mutual adaptation in a couple and the appearance of phubbing in a conversation.
