China-related environmental policy in Russian information space

Abstract

This article is devoted to the analysis of Chinese environmental policy in authoritative print newspapers of all Russia from January 1, 2016, to June 30, 2021. Using the method of cluster analysis of keywords of 331 publications, 23 question blocks were summarized. As a result, the characteristics of Russian environmental discourse and Chinese environmental policy are revealed: Chinese environmental policy has been successfully integrated not only into Russian environmental discourse, but also into Russian industry, trade, economy, diplomacy, energy, and public discourse. In conclusion, we propose to focus on the conflict between sub-discourses, as well as the conflict between the media discourse of mainstream media and the mass media; based on the results of the analysis, 3 recommendations for future agenda-setting are drawn.
