Representation of ethnicity in cyberspace: methodological approaches, research practices

Abstract

The article examines modern research practices and methodological approaches of foreign and domestic researchers to the study of cyber-ethnicity, points out problematic issues, indicates approaches and specific methods of studying ethnicity in cyberspace: the study of methods, mechanisms and forms of group ethnicity representation in cyberspace, motivation and activity of group members on the Internet, the functionality of the ethnic language, etc. The study of cyber-ethnicity is relevant for the understanding of modern forms of cultural self-organization of individual ethnic communities, as well as the search for theoretical and methodological approaches in the study of the nature of ethnicity, forms and mechanisms of its representation.
