Abstract

Since the spring of 2022, Russia has been creating a national system for evaluating the effectiveness of scientific research based on the leading Russian journals Russian Science Citation Index (RSCI). In December 2022, the consolidated and thematic ratings of RSCI journals were published, which caused serious discussion in the scientific community. The article focuses on the issue of partition RSCI journals into thematic groups. Using data on RSCI journals, information about which is contained in the information system Math-Net.Ru an approach to partition into thematic communities based on finding communities of the journal citation graph is shown. The prospects of such an approach and the possibility of its use for the point analysis of RSCI thematic groups, including for the elimination of inaccuracies, are shown.
