Abstract

The article considers the stages of development, architecture levels and factors influencing the diffusion of the Industrial Internet of Things (IIoT) using the example of 31 European countries in 2021. Models are built of the dependence of the share of enterprises using the Industrial Internet of Things in their activities in the total number of enterprises in the country on the business R&D expenditure, the share of the manufacturing in GDP, and the level of development of other digital technologies. On the other hand, a significant positive relationship was revealed between the IIoT spread indicator in European countries with the competitive index of their industry, medium- and high-tech manufactured exports share in total manufactured exports of countries, and the industrial export quality index (UNIDO indicators).
