Abstract

The article analyzes data obtained during a survey in December 2023 of students from three universities of the DPR and allows us to determine the degree of dependence of their behavior in communities of close people on their individual media consumption. Based on the respondents’ answers, it is concluded that such dependence among Donbass youth generally corresponds to a similar indicator in the rest of Russia, although in the DPR it is less strictly determined and individual media consumption habits are more autonomous from the behavioral attitudes common in student communities in this region. This specificity is explained by the ongoing instability in the DPR, which prevents the homogenization of media consumption and media behavior of young people.
