Abstract

Using parasocial relationships and user experience, comments on educational video blogs are studied as a specific type of online communication. Methods of multivariate statistical analysis and qualitative analysis were applied to a sample of 417 comments on 148 Russian-language educational videos. Data processing and analysis were performed using SPSS Statistics, Excel, and MAXQDA. Three types of comments on educational videos were identified – “gratitude”, “request” and “opinion”, and their characteristics and connections with the parameters of the video itself were studied.
