Abstract

The post-Cold War world order has existed as long as the reality that gave rise to it has existed. The emergence of SCO, BRICS, and other integration groupings outside the framework of US global dominance goes against American national interests. The West’s war with the Russian Federation in Ukraine as a substitute for a world war has aggravated the global information confrontation. This conflict looks like a convulsion of the system of order with an “eternal” hegemon, which is experiencing an internal political and worldview crisis. The author’s analysis is based on the ideas of the school of political realism and on E. Messner’s “rebellion of war” concept of a worldwide asymmetric, psychological warfare. The article takes an in-depth look at the patterns of information warfare in an environment of a disordered world and the confrontation between the global North and new centers of power.
