Abstract

The paper is devoted to the analysis of the political role of modern artificial intelligence technologies. Using the example of the 2024 US presidential election campaign, the author examines the «perception» of the two main candidates, Donald Trump and Kamala Harris, by one of the most popular artificial intelligence applications, «ChatGPT». The purpose of this paper is to identify the features of the representation of the two political leaders in the texts generated by «ChatGPT» based on certain text queries and to establish whether there is any «biased» emphasis in favor of one politician or another. The results of the study have showed that, on the whole, the AI application generates larger texts for text queries dedicated to Kamala Harris. Text queries were identified for which the AI generates the largest texts (they coincided in the case of both political leaders). The use of frame analysis made it possible to identify the presence of at least two frames – «Effective politician» and «Ineffective politician».
