Abstract

The development of the information society brings the advantages of the knowledge economy together with the need to organize effective work with knowledge as a key business asset. Knowledge management has to respond to such problems of information society as the increasing intensity of information flow caused the problem of information redundancy; shortening of the life cycle of goods/services and the need for constant innovation activities; high dynamics of changes in society and technology, generating the problem of business adaptation to them. The analysis of digital technologies and business practice of their implementation has shown that they deepen these problems and thus foreground the developed approach to overcoming them based on knowledge management theory and methodology. Digital technologies should be considered as tools in the organization of effective work with knowledge in business.
