Impact of digital technologies on the economy, society and environment

Abstract

A conceptual framework and a set of indicators for monitoring and evaluation of the impact of digital transformation of spheres of activity have been developed. The conceptual framework contains 4 dimensions (economic, social, environmental and institutional effects) and a set of indicators. The conceptual scheme was tested using statistical data of Rosstat for 2022, the values of indicators were calculated for all spheres of activity as a whole, as well as for organizations of specially selected spheres of activity separately. The positive impact of the use of digital technologies on the economy and social sphere was revealed, and to a lesser extent - on the environment. The most controversial impact of the use of digital technologies is on worker safety. The leaders in terms of the impact of digital development in Russia are organizations in trade and financial services.
