Modularity of networks and epidemics: new approaches to monitoring of infections in Russia, using the example of COVID-19

This study finds the negative relationship between modularity of online networks of social ties and spreading of COVID-19. The modularity index measures the tendency of nodes to be grouped into clusters with ties within clusters rather than between them.
