Russia in the Era of Digital Transformation: Possible Models for Social and Economic Development

Abstract

The article is devoted to the theoretical insights into development regularities of human system and to the research of possible social and economic development models in the era of digital transformation. The study demonstrated that in the conditions of Industry 4.0 technological revolution marked by rapid emerging of various digital devices and technologies of the 21^st century there are three possible models for social and economic development. Depending on the development goals, the models can forge different relations between state, society, business, and specific individuals. The authors has proven that the only model of the above-mentioned ones is capable of providing sustainable development and creating a new model for economic development commensurate with the digital technologies of the 21^st century.
