Abstract

Local information system of the Tomsk Region implies implementation of the state policy of regional informatization in accordance with the goals pursuing upgrade of the state and municipal government, social and economic development of the region.  The top priority tasks of this policy are as follows: shaping Open Region eco system; enhancing availability of e-services and information of operations of state authorities and local governments for citizens and business; development of special info and IT  systems that support operations of state authorities. The article claims that successful experience of creating and developing the local information system accumulated in the Tomsk Region may be erplicated in other regions of the Russian Federation.
