Monitoring the use of big data technologies in the Russian educational system

To conduct regular monitoring the use of big data technologies in Russian educational institutions, approaches have been developed to assess the current level of readiness to use these technologies, the degree of their penetration into the education sector, to identify the existing promising areas of development, the strengths and weaknesses of this process, as well as the existing barriers. Based on the analysis of the documentary flow on the topic under consideration, carried out on Web of Science platform, it has been revealed that in international practice there are still no universal approaches and tools for monitoring the use of big data technologies in the field of education, but the issues of assessing maturity and readiness as well as analysis of existing problems and barriers to their use are relevant for the sphere of education. The foresaid determined the choice of subject areas of monitoring and the corresponding indicators.
