Abstract

Since the late 1980s, it has been customary in economics to single out a quaternary sector of the economy - the knowledge economy. The emergence and development of this sector is traditionally associated with the formation of a post-industrial or information society, the idea of which was laid down in the 60-70s of the last century. By the beginning of the 20s of the current, XXI century, many countries announced the completed transition to a post-industrial society. However, the current geopolitical situation has revealed a number of problems, without solving which modern society cannot be fully considered post-industrial.
