Abstract

Throughout its history, humanity accumulates and transforms a variety of information. The most useful and promising part of it is systematized, acquiring the form of knowledge, other types are eventually eliminated and forgotten. The development of modern technologies and the emergence of the global Internet allowed us to reconsider our views on the possibilities of work and the multiple use of information previously accumulated over many tens and hundreds of years.
The article suggests a method of interaction between archival institutions of the Russian Federation and users. The described measure does not require significant investments and is able to increase the efficiency of archives, link the funds of various archival institutions of the country into a single information space, by identifying the affiliation between their constituent cases. This will significantly reduce the time for searching and collecting information when performing scientific research, create a basis for the virtualization of the components of archival catalogs, become a testing ground for the use of artificial intelligence technologies in processing various search queries (genealogical, statistical and other) and other types of work with information.
